TikToker’s Tearful Regret Over Holiday Tattoo Mistake

A woman cried after she learned what the tattoo she got on vacation meant.

Traveling and exploring new cultures is fun, but sometimes you make choices you might regret.

This is what happened to a social media influencer.

She shared a video online where she was upset about her new tattoo, and it quickly became very popular.

She really should’ve checked first.

When you get a tattoo in another language, it’s super important to know what it means before going for it.

Unfortunately, this Australian TikToker didn’t do that.

Amy Dickinson, who has over 95,000 followers, posted a video of herself crying and asking her fans for help with a tattoo she got in Fiji.

She said, “I didn’t know Fijians could be so mean, because now I’ve got a tattoo and I don’t even know what it means. Can someone tell me what I have on my body, please?”

Then she showed her tattoo and cried, “Okay, this is my tattoo. What does that even mean?”

The tattoo said ‘Matanivola Levu’ and was on her upper thigh.

Luckily, it’s in a place where most people can’t see it.

In another video, she explained it was part of her “fun, spontaneous” personality and laughed it off, saying it was “so brat coded” of her to agree to a tattoo in a language she didn’t understand.

Her followers helped her figure out what the phrase actually meant.

One person commented, “That means ‘capital letter’ in Fijian.”

She checked it out and said the translation seemed right, thanks to Google Translate.

Another fan made a funny comment:

“That’s so hilarious – it says ‘capital letters,’ but it’s all written in lowercase… Brilliant.”

But some people thought the phrase had a deeper meaning.

One user said, “‘Big Book’ in Fijian can mean you have many stories to tell, like having a lot of adventures.”

Another person added, “Matanivola levu means you are like a big book with many stories to share, so it’s not a bad thing, don’t worry.”

She’s revealed the tattoo in multiple videos.

Some viewers wondered if the tattoo was real, but Amy posted another video saying she “wished” it was fake, but sadly, the tattoo is permanent.

In the video, she showed the Fijian words on her leg by lifting her shorts in front of a mirror.

The main lesson here?

Make sure you know the meaning before getting anything permanent!
